The Great Tit
This piece a ceramic fountain / wash basin was made uniquely for the resturant OMAKA in Stockholm in 2020. I got invited by Interiornation design firm to make a proposal based on earlier performances using handheld individual ceramic breast to make a fountain. The piece refer to the bird (Talgoxe) The Great Tit with a nod to slang language using ‘Tit’ as a derogative term as smallish or non-significant. But it also brings ‘birdwatching’ into consideration and most of all it is a celebration to the female, the feminine, the nurturer and all Goddesses such as Diana of Ephesus. It brings all shapes and sizes into one bundle, a collective force from the female form.
