Genom materialexperiment i lera, sten och glas närmar hon sig alkemiska metoder där frågor om ekologi och materia fördjupas. Linda studerade bl.a i London vid Chelsea college of art &amp; design och Kungliga konsthögskolan. Linda deltog t.ex på Momentum biennalen, 2017, Ronneby konsthall med Sigrid Holmwood 2025 och Kalmar konstmuseum 2026 och har inkluderats i boken 100 Sculptors of tomorrow av förlaget Thames &amp; Hudson (2019).Linda var mottagare av Kalmar regions kulturpris 2025 och har vid flera tillfällen erhållit Konstnärsnämndens arbets stipendium. Hon har även under sin tid i England mottagit Arts Council stipendier under flera tillfällen. Linda har drivit olika konstprojekt som (länk recension)&nbsp;XRAY &gt; och ‘5 months space’ i London mellan 2008-14 som ofta expanderar genom workshops, samarbeten och residens. Sen juni 2025 har linda sin lerverksamhet vid Ateljéhus Pukeberg där hon också startade kollegiala utbyten genom feedback metoder på platsen i Småland, där hon nu bor och verkar sen 2020. Hon är också återkommande i uppdrag för olika konstutbildningar och pedagogik med museer och konsthallar. Hon har designat och utbildat på kursen ‘Do’s and dont’s in media art’ 2014-2023 vid Curatorutbildningens MA, Stockholms Universitet och 2015-2020 vid Goldsmiths University. Hon har gästföreläst vid Kingston, Reading, Winchester och har vikarierat 1,5 år som kursansvarig på Ölands folkhögskola Konstskolan 2 i Sverige (2022-23).&nbsp; Under de senaste åren har hon arbetat med offentliga uppdrag i Mölndal, Uppsala, Haninge och Jönköpings län, varav ett var ett samarbete mellan Statens Konstråd och Folkets hus &amp; parker (2021-23). Hon arbetar just nu med en soloutställning i Nov 2026 vid All Art Now i Stockholm curerat av Ulrika Flink och en mindre gestaltning för Nybro Räddningstjänst också 2026.English: Linda Persson mainly works through sculptural methods and moving image works that focus on the colonial impact in landscapes, body and language. She often work with materials such as clay, stone and process’ of glass, which always transform in an alchemichal way using fire, air and water. The materials carries their own inherent meaning which often pushes the work and the conceptual framwork into new directions and unorthodox ways of working. Linda holds a BA and MA in sculpture / sound from Chelsea College of Art &amp; Design, London and Winchester School of Art, UK and a research year though Mejan Residence at the Royal Academy of Arts, Stockholm. She is the 2025 awardee of the Kalmar Region cultural prize and has been given stipends and grants from the Swedish Arts comittee several times. Adjacent to her art practice she has been the initiator of projects such as XRAY (in London 2008-11), 5months space (Deptford, London). She has been working in education both as a course director (cover Öland folkhögskola, Sweden 2022-23), guest talks at HDK Valand Sweden, Kingston university, Reading University, Winchester University and developed course design for MA Curation at Stockholm University &amp; Goldsmiths (London) 2015-23.&nbsp;In recent years (2020-25) she has created several big public art commissions and has collaborated with the Public art agency and Folkets hus &amp; Parker. 2026 a ceramic piece with hibiscus flowers and an animation inside.&nbsp; “Linda Persson, based in Småland, works with sculptural processes and material experiments that deepen questions about ecology and matter. In Survival Kit she shows Jordmörk and System, where she combines new and reworked older work (2025) that, through alchemical processes, allow history to meet the transience of the present. Persson has produced several sculptural nodes inside the exhibition that speaks of the water itself, especially in the piece Ån/ river and Mermaids purse, actually displaying water from the local river in the handblown clear glass cylinders.The orange glass vessels (also handblown) ‘Mermaids purse’ were used during the inauguration in a collaboration with the dance collective MASSKOLLEKTIVET ︎, to collect and carry water from the river to the exhibition display. Both artists uses an “alchemical” way of working with and through materials that can illuminate different roles water play part; as a solvent and carrier – through chemical processes such as leaching, dissolution and precipitation, as well as in its movement through our bodies. &nbsp;The artworks traces people's deep and historical relationships with waterways by exploring materials and industries, as well as the water itself. Some sculptures focus on visualising species that falls under the power languages of invasive or belonging like the work Whisperer a large ceramic sculpture adorned with abalone shells, bones, plastic, fish hooks ︎click arrow to see more. In Persson’s piece 'System' a ceramic piece suspended from the ceiling using tensionstraps, she has placed one of the three cannonballs inside a plastic bucket resting in a handblown glass bowl. I några bränningsfaser jag har också använt smink som har PFAS kemikalier. Startpunkten för den här idéen uppkom genom att fantasin hamnat i träda, en sorts utmattning av världens ogenerösa substans av kaos. Reliker är spännande förkroppsligade saker som är länkade till svunnen tid, kanske något gudomligt, men också något egensinnigt utan egentligt värde, som t.ex pappas musiksamling. Men dessa ‘reliker’ kan också bli behållare av inre betydelsefulla bilder som skapar meningsfullhet. Det skapar förlängning mellan det levande, det döda, det oförklarliga. Att starta en eld har behov av syre, en pust. Allt vi gör i livet har konsekvenser. Elden som metod finns även i andra verk genom glasformning, keramiska verk men också genom kontexter som t.ex. de småländska häxbränningarna som jag arbetat med sen 2017.
